ARTURO GARCIA BUSTOS
b.1926

Arturo Garcia Bustos was born in Mexico City in 1926. In 1941, he enrolled in the Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas and the following year entered the Escuela de Pintura y Escultura ("La Esmeralada") where he was taught by Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo, among others. Well-known as a lithographer, he became a member of the Taller de Grafica Popular in 1945. Garcia Bustos is also a muralist, his murals can be seen throughout Mexico.
