Carlos Garcia Estrada was born in Mexico City in 1934. He studied painting and engraving at the Escuela Nacional de Pintura y Escultura. He has exhibited throughout Mexico, Europe and Japan, and founded the Taller Profesional del Grabado at the Escuela Nacional de Pintura y Escultura.
